Try not to feel a fraud!

Well, have been offered a once a month chance to write a column in the South London Press.

I know most Painters live like me, hand to mouth, having to work as well, fighting for grants and spending all our hard earned dough on Larch Turpentine etc. We can get ourselves into a frame of mind where you are so used to being glared at in the supermarket for looking dishevelled plus obviously not on this planet, that it can be hard to imagine anyone not taking offence at your general presence.

Whenever something like this goes on, I tend to feel like an an absolute fraud! I have to make a concerted effort not to go into meetings stating:

You do know you're talking to me aren't you? I am from Holywell you know?

:thus buggering my chances of doing anything much.

So, I wish to be able to hold my self belief together enough at the moment to be able to pull this little number off. It will do me the world of good!

Fingers crossed!
Best
